I recently came across a book titled, Nobody wants to read you sh*t. I thought, maybe I should read that! It turned out the book is about writing novels and screenplays—neither of which I will be trying anytime soon.
I prefer to write very short pieces about topics that seem misunderstood, or certain points of view under-expressed. I find the writing helps sharpen my communication skills. Whether you find the reading rewarding is, of course, up to you.
Here's a little background in case you're curious about where I'm coming from. You'll find more context in the introductions to some sections.
Senior chemical engineer and engineering manager for Hewlett-Packard for 24 years, working in manufacturing development of integrated circuits. Then senior devops software engineer for 14 years for HP and a couple mid-size startups. Now retired.
I was raised Catholic and have some Protestant background, though more spiritual than religious. Well read in world religions.
Politically I'm right of center and an independent thinker. Moderately well read in psychology and philosophy.
